: Caregivers ensure medications are taken safely and on time. We provide reminders, supervision, and coordination with pharmacists or doctors as needed so that each resident’s medication schedule is properly managed.

Transportation

Getting out and about is easy with IG Healthcare Services. We provide or arrange transportation for medical appointments, therapy sessions, and important errands. We’ll also help residents get to family gatherings or community events whenever possible. Our goal is to ensure lack of a ride is never a barrier to staying healthy and connected.

Housekeeping

Our residents get to enjoy a clean, tidy living space without the worry of chores. We take care of housekeeping duties like cleaning rooms, doing laundry and linens, and maintaining safe, clutter-free common areas. Our homes are kept sparkling clean and comfortable, creating a pleasant environment for everyone.

Personal Care

Friendly personal support workers assist with daily living tasks discreetly and respectfully. We help residents with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility as needed. We know that choosing a new home is a big decision. That’s why we’ve made our process simple, transparent, and supportive every step of the way. Here’s how it works from the first inquiry to moving in:

Initial Inquiry: Get in touch with us by phone or email, and tell us a bit about your needs. Our friendly team will answer your questions and schedule a time to talk in detail. There’s absolutely no pressure or obligation – we’re here to help you explore options.

Personalized Consultation: We’ll set up a meeting (either in-person or virtual) to learn more about the potential resident – their health, daily routine, likes and dislikes, and what they’re looking for in a home. This is a chance for us to understand how we can best help, and for you to get to know us. We’ll explain all care services, costs, and what life in our homes is like.

Home Tour & Selection: Next, we invite you to visit one of our shared living homes. Come meet our staff and residents, and see the environment first-hand. We’ll showcase the private rooms, common areas, and introduce the daily schedule. If distance is an issue, we can provide virtual tours. We’ll work together to find the home that’s the best fit for your family member, considering care needs, personality and location preference within the GTA.

Care Plan & Agreement: Once you’ve decided on a home, we develop a personalized care plan tailored to the resident’s needs and preferences. We’ll review the plan with you, covering everything from medication routines to favourite foods and hobbies. At this stage, we also go over the residency agreement, including services, fees, and house guidelines. We make sure all your questions are answered before moving forward.

Move-In Day & Welcome: Moving day is an exciting new start! Our team will help coordinate the move-in to make it as smooth as possible. We assist with setting up the resident’s room – feel free to bring personal furniture, décor, and belongings to make it feel like home. Upon arrival, our staff and fellow housemates will give a warm welcome. We’ll introduce daily caregivers, review the routines, and help the new resident settle in comfortably. In the first days and weeks, we pay special attention to helping them adjust, making sure they feel safe, included, and at ease.

Throughout the entire process, we maintain open communication. We encourage families and new residents to ask any questions at any time. Our goal is to make the transition into the home stress-free. Even after move-in, we continue to update family members regularly and are always just a phone call away.
